Bluetooth Preferences Help

You can choose your Bluetooth preferences:

o Bluetooth
Select On or Off. (For example, turn Bluetooth off while on an airplane or to conserve battery power.)

o Device name
Your Bluetooth device name is displayed to other Bluetooth devices during discovery and connection.

Your HotSync name is the default setting. (Before your first HotSync operation, the default setting is "Palm OS handheld.")

If you want to change your Bluetooth device name, tap the Device Name box, and enter a new name.

o Discoverable
Select Yes if you want other Bluetooth devices to be able to discover your Bluetooth device when searching. (Discovery does not automatically permit connections. Connections cannot occur when your handheld is off.) If not, select No.

o Allow Wake Up
Select Yes if you want to allow trusted devices (and previously connected devices) to wake up and connect to your Bluetooth device when your handheld is sleeping. If not, select No.

o To go to your trusted device list, tap Trusted Devices.

BlueBoard Help

You can draw and write on your BlueBoard, and host a session to share it with up to three partners at a time:

o To erase your drawing, tap Erase.

o If you want to share your drawing, tap Share to begin a session.

The Select Partners screen displays all partners you recently shared drawings with (for example, your usual work group):

o To select a partner, tap its check box. You can select up to three partners.

o If you don't see the partner you want, tap Find More to search and try to discover more. These will be added to your list.

o If you select a partner that cannot be discovered, it will appear in bold and be marked Not Found. (You can uncheck its box and select another partner instead.)

o If you want to begin a session now, tap OK. If not, tap Cancel to return to your drawing.

o When connected, host and partners appear in the Partners pick list and the drawing appears on the screen. You can draw on it, and your notations will appear immediately on all screens.

o During an active session, the host can erase the drawing, but partners cannot.

o On color handhelds, partners draw in red blue, or green. The host draws in black.

You can end sessions and block requests:

o If you are the host and want to end a session for all partners, tap End. The drawing will be removed from all partners' screens.

o If you are a partner and want to leave a session, tap End. The drawing will be removed from your screen.

o To block all incoming drawing requests, tap the Options menu and select Block Requests.
