Research into the place where Monterra Promise wine grapes are grown, San Bernab Ranch, uncovered a fascinating history beginning with the King of Spain's land grant in the 1600's. To leverage the historical theme, the launch brochure was designed to look like a rare, leather bound book from that era.
The design uses traditional golden section proportions, engraved illustrations, and classic red and black typography. To enhance the authenticity and look of antiquity, it was printed on deckle edge paper by letterpress process, the same method used to print books in the seventeenth century and earlier.
