The assignment was to create a gourmet look for a line of healthy cookies made with rice flour. For the backgrounds, I chose gradations of deep jewel tones, to indicate richness; black borders frame the design and reinforce the gourmet look. The whimsical brush illustration of a rice plant wraps around three sides of the box; on the bottom panel you can see the rice growing out of water.
