Biography:
Brad Feinknopf's passion for photographing architecture was directly influenced by two generations of architects, his grandfather and father, Mark D and Mark G. respectively. He has personally been shooting photography for twelve years, since graduating from Cornell University with his undergraduate degree in Design. Brad went on to spend three years in New York City assisting such famous photographers as Richard Avedon, Robert Mapplethorpe, Arnold Newman, Horst, Arthur Elgort and Joyce Tenneson. Today, Brad's New York experience lends unique depth and insight to his photographic style. Following his return to Columbus, Ohio, Brad established a five-year partnership, Cunningham/Feinknopf Photography, where a strong clientele among architectural, engineering and construction firms rapidly grew. In serving these clients, Brad has traveled throughout the United States shooting projects, many of which have been AIA Award winners.Brad believes in working closely with his clients and providing them state-of-the-art quality and service. Through his active participation in such organizations as SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services), ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) and APSG (Architectural Photography Specialty Group) a division of ASMP, Brad remains on the forefront of current photography trends and hot issues within the architectural industry. He also expands his art form through participation in unique opportunities like the Maine & Santa Fe Photographic workshops.
As a frequent lecturer, Brad lends insight to current and prospective clients on commissioning an architectural photographer and how to have the most successful architect / photographer working relationship. His most recent audiences have included the Columbus chapter of AIA (American Institute of Architects) and SMPS, as well as private, in-house workshops for designers of client firms.
Brad lives with his wife, Abigail, and son, Jackson, in Columbus, Ohio, where he maintains his own studio, feinknopf photography, specializing in architectural photography: interiors and exteriors. He also provides corporate portraiture and stock photography

As son of and grandson of an architect I have spent my entire life looking at and appreciating architecture.
While heading towards architecture as a profession and receive my degree in design, I picked up a camera and realized that my love is in the capturing of architecture on film. This is my way of appreciating architecture.
